Chapter Scholarships
While Spelman College has one of the highest graduation rates in the nation, only 76% of the women who enter graduate. The financial burden of a post-secondary education is the primary reason others are unable to finish. Nationwide, more than 86% of students receive some sort of financial assistance in order to pay for their education. At Spelman, that number is over 90%. For many, providing scholarship assistance is a critical part of making a college degree attainable.
To assist with this growing need, the NAASC – Atlanta Chapter has established two scholarship programs to support deserving students pay for their college education – our Local Scholarship and Endowed Scholarship.
Also, on rare occasions, students experience unforeseen hardships while in school. The Barbara Buckley Emergency Fund is available to address the emergency needs of students. Contact scholarships@naascatlanta.org for more information.
